Nature is a Stranger

Emily Dickinson once wrote to a friend, “Nature is a Haunted House—but Art—a House that tries to be haunted.” The ghosts that roam the earth and through the viewer’s mind move through this stereo audio installation. Lines from Dickinson’s poetry mark turning points as the piece moves through storms, night, fire, sea, and daybreak, before beginning its loop again.
